Queen’s Bakery opens in Blyth

Queen's Bakery, Blyth, OntarioBLYTH–The Queen’s Bakery is getting a royal welcome.

The Queen Street business in Blyth, which opened its doors to an appreciative public in September, is earning accolades as a go to spot to enjoy a great atmosphere and baked goods made from scratch.

Business partners Les and Jackie Cook, and Anne and Rick Elliott, who became friends as avid ballroom dancers, first got together to discuss the possibility of buying a main street building last year. The original plan was to turn the second floor into a hostel to accommodate the needs of students training at the emergency services training centre in Blyth, while renting out the main floor.
