Agriculture and Water Festival wets students appetites for learning
SEAFORTH — The Education Technician for the Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority says the Huron-Perth Agriculture and Water Festival provides a unique experience for Grade Four students.
It allows them to get close to farm animals they might not have seen before and to learn about the importance of water in their daily lives.
Denise Iszczuk they change their presentations a little each year as the students become more knowledgeable.
Last year, one of their messages was turn off taps, but she says this year they focus on other conservation messages, including the impact one person can have on water quality.
The Agriculture and Water Festival continues today at the Seaforth Arena and the Seaforth Agriplex.
