Trillium Grant to GB Arts Centre

Trillium Grant to GB Arts Centre

GRAND BEND — The Grand Bend Arts Centre is recognizing a contribution from Ontario’s Trillium Foundation.

The facility, at 63 River Road in Grand Bend held a public thank-you Friday afternoon to acknowledge the two-year grant and explain how it will be put to use.

Public Development Co-ordinator Casey Lessard says the Grand Bend Arts Centre has a four-fold mission, involving education and appreciation of the Arts as they relate to organized activities for adults and children.

Lessard says at present, programming at the Grand Bend Arts Centre is primarily kid-focused and seasonal, with most of its activities taking place over the summer months.

He tells us the Trillium Foundation money will help the Centre as it strives to develop an operational plan that is more adult-inclusive and year-round.

The Grand Bend Arts Centre has received $22,000 for this year, and $20,000 for 2014.
