Grocery store set to open Friday
SEAFORTH — With the grand opening just days away, it’s easy to feel the excitement in the air as Seaforth residents get ready to welcome back their local Foodland.
In a little over seven months, the town grocery store has gone from smoldering ash to a completely upgraded and modern building ready to kick off a new era for the downtown core.
According to owner, Steve Del Chairo, getting the store completed in such record time has been both exciting and nerve wracking.
“There’s a lot going on,” he laughed. “But what it comes down to is – I hope it’s exciting for the people in Seaforth to have the store back after so long. We’re looking forward to getting back to seeing our old customers again and servicing the community like we always have.”
Set to open Dec. 6, Seaforth Foodland will open with several new services and an expanded product line, but that doesn’t mean you won’t be able to see some familiar faces.
“All my employees are coming back, said Del Chairo. “With the exception of a few students who have gone off to college, essentially all the staff is returning.”
